Poettker Industrial is honored to invest in the communities where it lives and works. We engage in advocacy, fundraising, and volunteer initiatives for the following non-profits.
Kimberly Luitjohan serves as a Leadership Council advocate for the HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Breese Foundation. She builds awareness about hospital programs in the community and assists in hospital Foundation fundraising for patient care initiatives.
During Kim’s tenure, the Foundation has raised more than $250,000 to support new medical equipment enhancements including 3D Mammography, Digital Fluoroscopic Imaging Room, Emergency Department & Inpatient Room Renovations, Meditation Garden, and “Friends Van” Transportation Service for the hospital.
Poettker Industrial supports Junior Achievement’s initiatives through corporate engagement focused on increasing interest in trade work and developing the next generation of construction leaders.
As a Program Sponsor of the JA Trades STEAM Experience, JA, Poettker, and other local businesses have partnered to provide an interactive learning experience geared toward teaching students about trade career opportunities. The traveling JA Trades Experience will be available to communities throughout Missouri and Southern Illinois.
Poettker Industrial is a proud sponsor of the Schools of Character standard of excellence in character development program through CharacterPlus, the SOS Missouri Affiliate.
This character development initiative recognizes schools and districts that achieve exemplary implementation of Character.org’s 11 Principles of Effective Character Education, a framework for whole-school improvement.
