Safety

Safe Jobsites. Consistent Execution. Trusted Results.

At Poettker Industrial, safety isn’t just a statistic. It’s the result of how we plan, train, communicate, and look out for one another. Utility, renewable, and industrial construction carries inherent risk, and we take that responsibility seriously through a culture built on discipline, respect, and continuous improvement.

Since our founding in 2021, we’ve maintained a strong safety record without ANY lost-time incidents through consistent execution, clear expectations, and field leadership that empowers teams to do the right thing. Safety protects people, assets, schedules, and budgets. When you partner with Poettker Industrial, you’re working with a utility contractor that approaches safety with humility, consistency, and respect for the work and the workforce — every day, on every job.

High-Risk Operations Program

Utility construction often involves high-energy environments and live systems. To manage those risks, Poettker Industrial developed a High-Risk Operations (HRO) Program that formally defines high-risk activities, outlines safeguards, and establishes clear communication protocols.

The program is a living system that is regularly reviewed and discussed. It ensures lessons learned in the field translate into safer planning and execution on future projects.

Training, Planning & Accountability

Safety at Poettker Industrial starts well before crews mobilize. Project leaders train employees and subcontractors on our High-Risk Operations Program and expectations specific to our projects. Crews identify potential hazards, plan safeguards, and communicate openly before high-risk activities begin.

Key safety principles are reinforced through daily job briefings, toolbox talks, inspections, job site signage, ongoing training sessions, online courses, and preconstruction planning meetings. The result is a workforce that understands risk, speaks up early, and looks out for one another from start to finish.

Safety Is a Mindset

“At Poettker Industrial, safety is a mindset, not a checklist. It’s embedded in our culture, planning, training, and our daily execution in the field. We believe every incident is preventable and that belief drives us to empower our teams with the tools, education, and authority to stop work and do the right thing every time. Our philosophy is simple: nothing we build is more important than the lives and well-being of the people building it.”
