Kimberly Schlautman, President
With over 20 years of construction finance and management experience, Kim Schlautman began her career in 2001, working for her family’s construction management firm. In 2010, at the age of 26, Kim was promoted to Vice President of Finance, overseeing financial, employee, and asset operations. Under Kim’s direction, the firm’s revenue climbed 600%, employment increased 215%, and asset inventory rose 204%. Kim’s tremendous leadership earned her recognition as a 40 under 40 Class of 2020 recipient by the St. Louis Business Journal. In 2021, Kim was appointed to the Board of Directors and promoted to Executive VP & Chief Financial Officer of Poettker Construction and its affiliated companies.
After the sudden passing of her father and mentor in 2021, Kim knew she wanted to further her father’s legacy. From this dream, she started Poettker Industrial Services, a women-owned business with a vision to provide safe, quality, and sustainable solutions within the Utility, Infrastructure, Industrial, and Commercial markets.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, is a member of Poettker’s strategic planning committee, and an associate member of Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA).
Robert (Trey) Wiegmann, Vice President of Construction Services
In March 2023, Robert (Trey) Wiegmann joined Poettker Industrial’s leadership team. Trey has over 18 years of experience working with award-winning contractors to expand their utility, energy, and infrastructure programs on average by 30-50% annually.
As Vice President of Construction, Trey provides leadership and technical direction for Poettker Industrial’s project teams, as well as oversees preconstruction and relationship-building initiatives to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget, schedule, quality, and sustainability requirements.
The St. Louis Council of Construction Consumers honored Trey as an SLC3 Emerging Leader of the Year honoree in 2023. He earned a degree in Construction Management from SIUE.

Everett Kelly, CHST, Corporate Safety Director
As Corporate Safety Director, Everett Kelly ensures the company’s compliance with company policies and safety regulations, develops policies, conducts safety inspections, and trains employees on Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
With 27 years’ experience in construction safety, Kelly earned his 30-hour OSHA certification, acquired Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) credentials, and is pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health & Safety from Columbia Southern University.
He first joined Poettker in 2021 as a Safety Specialist, conducting accident investigations and logging daily field reports. He earned a promotion in 2023 to Corporate Safety Manager in which he collaborated with project teams to ensure they hold safety meetings weekly and conduct regular inspections in addition to developing site-specific safety and emergency plans.
Jay Timmermann, Corporate Quality Director
With an impressive 30 years in the construction industry, Jay Timmermann serves as Poettker Industrial’s Corporate Quality Director in which he ensures the company achieves its high standards and exceeds client expectations, as well as reviews project drawings for construction concerns and value engineering opportunities.
In 2017, Timmermann began his Poettker career as Corporate Quality Manager, implementing the company’s corporate quality program, coordinating pre-installation meetings and inspections, and conducting quality control reviews of earthwork, concrete, and asphalt installations.
Timmermann holds a Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), American Institute of Architects (AIA) Architectural Design Conference training, and his OSHA 30. He is an American Concrete Institute (ACI) Certified Level I Concrete Technician, and he earned his associate’s in science from SIUE.
Brett Timmermann, Project Director
As Project Director, Brett Timmermann serves as the primary project lead from pursuit to closeout. He oversees the overall project direction, management, and financial outcomes. He mentors project team members, champions best practices, and ensures customer satisfaction and project achievements.
Timmermann joined Poettker in 2017 as a Project Intern with seven years of industry experience already achieved. His strong work ethic and industry knowledge earned him promotions to Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, Project Manager, and Senior Project Manager before attaining his current role. He earned his bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from SIUE.

Brad Luitjohan, Field Operations Director
Brad Luitjohan leads Poettker Industrial’s on-site efforts, including technology innovations; guiding site supervisors in safety, quality control, and schedule management; allocating labor and equipment resources; and managing high-level trade relations.
An industry veteran with 22 years’ experience, Luitjohan first joined Poettker in 2006 as a Carpenter. Over the course of his career, he earned promotions to Lead Foreman, Assistant Superintendent, Lead Operator, and Civil General Superintendent.
In addition to numerous industry and safety certifications, Luitjohan earned his OSHA 30 and the American Allied Safety Council’s Qualified Non-Electrical Worker certification.
